Couple Finds Joy in the Intimacy of Reading Aloud

As Andrew Sullivan reports in The Beast: When Chloe Angyal learned that her boyfriend had never read Pride and Prejudice, they read it together. The result was a renewed intimacy and enjoyment of each other on new levels. Chloe delighted in the voices he used for various characters as well as his commentary on reactions to various characters and moments.

“It was so intimate,” she says.  “I lay in bed, eyes closed, falling deeper in love, as he brought new depth and shade with his voice to characters I had known well for years.
